Every Realtor® is accountable to a Professional Standard of Practice and a Code of Ethics. It is your assurance that you are working with professionalism, integrity and competence.
Not all real estate agents are Realtors®, and therefore not accountable to a code of ethics. Ask your agent if they are a Realtor® and to provide you with a copy of the Code of Ethics.
If your agent is a Realtor®, they will gladly and proudly provide you with this copy. They know and understand the credence and validity such a status means to you and to them and will proudly share it with you.
